In the alternate season 5 premiere, Phoebe gets struck with a premonition after the sisters meet Darryl's new partner in, which the officer is the target of a powerful warlock. Baffled, the sisters try to protect him from the warlock with a highly enthusiastic Paige as the prime supporter for the "witchness" protection. Meanwhile, Cole returns from the wasteland and tries to reconcile his relationship with Phoebe.

FADE-IN

INT. SF Police Department - Day

[It's mid-day afternoon in downtown San Francisco and Darryl is leading Piper, Phoebe, and Paige through a crowded and busy police station. As they weave their way through the crowd Darryl hurriedly leads them into his office and shuts the door behind them for privacy.]

CUT-TO: 
INT. SF Police Department - Darryl's Office - Day

Piper: So Darryl what's up? [Turns and watches Darryl walk to his desk and then faces the girls again] You said you needed our help with something important over the phone.

Darryl: Uh yeah. I need your help on this case to track a killer. One that I think may be...you know... [Waits a beat] "Demonic".

Phoebe: Sure, but what makes you think the killer's a demon?

[Darryl turns towards his desk and picks up a small plastic bag containing an athame. Lifting it in the air, he shows it to the sisters.]

Darryl: This was found near the last victim's body. The victim was also involved in the occult.

Paige [realization dawns on her]: So she was a witch.

Piper: Which means our killer is a warlock.

Paige [joking]: So much for that demon hiatus we had all through summer.

[Phoebe smirks at the comment, and then returns her attention to Darryl an idea forming in her head on how she can help out with the case.]

Phoebe: Darryl why don't you let us take the athame home, [begins to sound hopeful] maybe I can get a premonition off of it.

[Darryl nods his head in understanding as he hands Phoebe the bag. Phoebe takes it and places it inside of her purse carefully.]

Darryl: I'm going to need that back before the end of the day.

Phoebe: Okay, no problem.

Piper: Well let's go home and get to work. [To Darryl] We'll call you if we find out anything.

Darryl: All right. You girls be careful.

[Paige nods and leads the way out of Darryl's office. She opens the door and as she goes to step out of the room she almost bumps into a taller man, in his mid-twenties with brunette hair, who is about to knock on the door before entering.]

Matthew: Oh I'm sorry miss, are you all right?

Paige: Um yeah [smiles coyly] I'm fine...

Matthew: Officer Johnson. [Smiles back at Paige] Matthew Johnson.

Paige [continues to smile]: Well it's nice to meet you Officer Johnson.

[Matthew smiles at Paige, and slowly directs his attention towards Darryl.]

Matthew: Um I'm sorry Inspector Morris, am I interrupting something?

Darryl: No we're done here. Uh, ladies this is my new partner Inspector Johnson. [He says introducing him to the sisters, then sternly] I'll talk to you girls later.

[Piper understands Darryl's actions, and she nods and moves forward.]

Piper: Right. Let's go.

The Scoobies have been sent to Cleveland, where the second known Hellmouth is. There are a lot of strange things going on but is Buffy really right when she thinks the new house is evil?

Teaserline: Anyanka watched the sun start its slow rise above the buildings of Sunnydale, California. An orange wash settled over the town as Helios took his first peek of the day. It was a beautiful sight, one that far too few appreciated. But despite the wonder of this tranquil scene, Anyanka knew that Sunnydale was notable for so many more things. Of course, it was a Hellmouth. 'Boca del Infierno' the Spanish settlers had called it, in their romantic tongue. Beneath the human veneer of Sunnydale lay a monstrous world, a portal to the demon realm, just waiting to be opened. Other things slept beneath the streets also - perhaps more sinister things... But there was more. Few people indeed knew why. In fact, Anyanka could think of only one person in the know: herself. This was her town, her creation. She had made it what it was. Oh, don't be so literal! Anyanka was a demon, not a creator. She didn't physically invent the town, nor did she have any hand in forming it personally. But one person had forever changed life in the sleepy Hellmouth, and she was Anyanka's protégé - even if she knew it not. That girl was the Slayer. Cordelia Chase. The demoness began her slow walk down into the town itself, off the small hill she stood on now. With her extra-normal physicality she would be among the streets in no time, far faster than any human. She had to be careful though, lest she give away her monstrous identity.
